Departmental Receptions
Departmental receptions are a great time to meet professors and learn more about the classes and projects seniors have been involved in during their time at Kalamazoo College.
The departmental reception schedule will be updated as times and locations are confirmed by each department.

Senior Awards Program – 2:30 p.m.
Location: Stetson Chapel
Seniors who are award recipients will receive an invitation to this program from the Office of the Provost after finals. Families will be notified by their senior. If you have questions about the Senior Awards Program, please contact the Office of the Provost.
Senior Music Recital – 5:45 p.m.
Location: Stetson Chapel
The Senior Music Recital is a public concert featuring performances by graduating seniors who have been involved in music.
All seniors and guests are invited to attend a music departmental reception following the recital in the lobby of the Light Fine Arts Building.
Baccalaureate – 8 p.m.
Location: Stetson Chapel
Baccalaureate is a non-religious service with student and faculty speakers and musical performances. All seniors and guests are invited to attend. The Baccalaureate Committee for 2026 is Roberta Gatti, Reagan Woods, Shruti DebBurman and Grey Gardner.
Sunday, June 14, 2026
Commencement Ceremony – 10 a.m.
Located on the campus Quadrangle. The ceremony will last approximately two hours and thirty minutes and it will take place outside rain or shine.
While commencement will take place regardless of the weather conditions, in the event of heavy rain showers or severe weather (thunder/lightning observed or anticipated), the commencement ceremony may be delayed by no more than two hours. Communication about a delay or alternate plans would be sent via K Alert, the College website and social media channels no later than 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 14.
